Before you make the leap and write the ad, decide which puppies to sell and which might need to stay with their mother a little longer. You should also peruse pet ads to figure out a going price for your particular breed before publishing an ad. Be prepared to negotiate prices. decide where you want to advertise your puppies. Popular places include Craigslist.org, PuppiesSale.org, PetFinder.com and local newspapers. Call your local newspaper before you write the ad to find out how much each word costs, and trim the necessary information to fit your budget. List the puppies' breed, age, sex, temperament and any health problems they may have. If your puppies are a mix breed, list it. Note if the puppies are housebroken or pad trained, and if they are good with children. Indicate whether or not your puppies have had their shots or will need an extra vet visit post-adoption. Example: "3 friendly shih tzus, months old, 2M 1F, all good with kids, 1 with special needs, housebroken, up to date with shots. each. List anything you will include with the puppies, such as towels and blankets or a crate. Listing a cell phone is probably your best bet, as people may be turned off or not likely to call you back if they get an answering machine. If you have room, include an email address. Publish your ad with a photo of the puppies if you can afford it.
